A Letter from Our FounderNavdeep Kaur
Textile Researcher | Colour Strategist | Conscious Creator

Dear You,

When I first began my journey in colour research in 2007 with Asian Paints, I was captivated by the quiet power of colour — not just as something we see, but something we feel. Through years of studying visual culture, forecasting trends, and shaping colour stories as part of the ColourNext initiative, I learned that the most powerful design isn’t loud — it’s gentle, intentional, and deeply human.

In 2013, I founded The Colour Workshop — a studio that works with brands to build future-facing CMF directions, design strategies, and consumer research frameworks. Alongside this, I’ve taught and developed curriculum at the National Institute of Design, led design-thinking workshops, and worked with creators across industries. But somewhere between the trend reports and the strategy decks, something quieter kept calling me.

It was a return to the beginning.

To softness.

To handmade fabrics.

To the coo of a newborn — that first sound, that first feeling.

That’s how Aagghhoo was born.

Not out of market demand, but out of deep personal intuition. Aagghhoo is a babywear and nursery lifestyle brand rooted in the belief that our babies deserve better — better fabrics, better textures, better sensory environments. But it’s also rooted in the belief that parents deserve better too. Better support. Better space. A softer experience of those early, transformative days.

At Aagghhoo, we work with GOTS-certified organic cotton, natural herbal dyes, and traditional artisans to craft clothing and objects that are sensory-safe, emotionally grounding, and made to last. Every stitch, shade, and silhouette is designed to nurture the bond between baby and parent — not to overstimulate, but to soothe.

We honour slow growth, emotional durability, and conscious parenting. We believe that when you choose less, you feel more. And that the things we surround our children within their earliest years should feel like companions — not just products.

We’re here to walk gently alongside you — in the soft beginnings, the sleepy afternoons, the unspoken transitions, and the many firsts.

Thank you for inviting us into your story.

We’re here — gently, always.

With love and warmth,

Navdeep
